Jenna has experience in many different types of projects and programs that help organizations plan and implement projects. Learn more about projects she led below.
As Director of Energy and Sustainability at DCAMM, Jenna led the creation and implementation of the Accelerated Energy Program (AEP) whose goal was to review all the state facilities and create a program to conduct energy and water upgrades in all applicable facilities. 700 projects were initiated in 700 days and over $450M was secured for this program, saving an estimated $40-45M a year.
Jenna led this award-winning project from concept, financing, design, and construction. She was instrumental in receiving state and federal grants and special bond authorization through the Signature Park Funds in Salem. This project involved renovating a historic pool complex that was built in a tidal pool and had failed due to age, storms, and outdated systems. Jenna successfully worked with the community and design team to find a solution that saved the pool building but created a modern pool outside the predicted climate flood zones. It also incorporated public art, educational pathways, a new community room, wetland restoration, and major accessibility improvements.
As Director of Energy & Sustainability for The RMR Group, LLC, Jenna managed the production of their Sustainability Report for 2022 and 2023, including metrics for SASB, GRI, and TCFD. Jenna also obtained SBTi validation of RMR's 50% greenhouse gas emissions reduction goal.
Jenna, as Director of Sustainability and Capital Projects, led the climate change action plan for the City of Salem. In coordination with Beverly, a greenhouse gas inventory was conducted, community engagement was implemented, and consensus was built around action plans.
Captain John Bertram Athletic Field House
Jenna managed this project from concept through closeout, including securing financing. This was the first net zero project for the City of Salem, that created a new modern athletic building for Salem students and other community uses. The new facility includes a solar photovoltaic system, pervious paving, native vegetation, EV chargers, and major accessibility improvements.
Salem Elementary Schools Solar Project
Jenna led the project through final design, construction, commissioning, and monitoring. She worked with Salem City Finance to secure additional funds to repair the roofs and coordinated all closeout and monitoring of the solar systems.
